I don't often use this space to talk about us, but I'm going to today.
We are delighted to have been honored by the Greater Cedar Valley Alliance and Chamber with their Business of the Year Award for 2017 (51+ full-time employees).
“The award honors an Alliance and Chamber investor for promoting the quality of life and offering leadership within the Cedar Valley, achieving a major business accomplishment, or making an outstanding contribution to the Cedar Valley community, economy, and citizens.”
While you frequent readers realize that the most important common thread throughout our 60 year history is our focus on you, our customers. We also take pride in our efforts as individuals and as a company to improve the communities where we work and live.
As a company, Advanced Systems has contributed to events in Cedar Valley, such as:
- Leader in Me and Leadercast
- Magical Mix Kids
- UNI Athletics
- Alive & Running Suicide Prevention
- Grout Museum
- North Star Community Services
- Waterloo Playhouse
- YMCA and YWCA
We also encourage employees to give back to their communities as well. And they do, devoting time and resources to many programs:
- American Heart Association
- American Cancer Society's Relay for Life
- Alzheimer's Association Walk
- Exchange Club
- Lions Club
- Northeast Iowa Food Bank
- UNI Wishmakers
- United Way
We've also invested $4 million in a larger facility in the Cedar Falls Industrial Park. This investment will help us grow by providing space for an increased staff and housing needs of our products (having parts on hand for copier/printer repair and maintenance is a key part of our customer service strategy).
All of us here at Advanced Solutions would like to thank Greater Cedar Valley Alliance & Chamber for honoring us with this award. I'd like to thank everyone I have the pleasure of working with for their role in making this award possible – without their daily excellence, there would be no award.
