Valuation Services, Inc. is a leading provider of real estate valuations for the mortgage lending marketplace. With years of experience in farm, primary/secondary mortgages, employee relocation, estate planning and divorce settlement, Valuation Services has a proven track record of reducing lenders' time, efforts and costs in managing the appraisal process.
Situation:
Appraisers with Valuation Services assemble reports for lenders. The contents of these reports consist of photos, property comparisons researched from the internet as well as history information found on county websites. The photos are scanned on a color scanner and some documents are printed from a black and white copier while others are printed from a color printer and then manually assembled. The current process is very time consuming and a waste of labor. Valuation Services began looking for ways to make the appraisal process easier for their staff.
Solution:
Advanced Systems provided a solution for the appraisal process preparing the documents for reports and producing them without the need for hand assembly. The integrated solution was presented including a Canon color multifuntional system and eCopy Desktop software. This solution prints all the research (internet documents, Microsoft Word and digital photos) into eCopy to create one PDF document which can be printed or emailed to the lender. If they need to print, specific print commands are determined for each page or section of the report so that the entire report or multiple copies of the report can be printed at one time. The user can designate which page(s) to print in full color and which in black and white. In addition, they now have color scan to file and fax forwarding options to help with other office tasks.
Conclusion:
By implementing eCopy and a Canon color MFP, Valuation Services dramatically reduced the effort to produce lender reports and therefore saving both time and money!
